November, 2009: Marcus starts work on
the highly acclaimed TV series 'V',
airing tuesdays on ABC. The studio plans
to broadcast four episodes initially before the christmas break and
resume with more in
March of 2010, right after the Winter Olympics.
‘2012’ in theaters
November, 2009: Marcus attends the Los Angeles premiere of 2012, which opens in theaters worldwide November 11th. For more info visit the official website.
‘My Soul to Take’ score completed
July, 2009: Marcus writes music for Wes
Craven's upcoming horror film My Soul
to Take which Wes is writing and directing. The release
date is set to early 2010.
‘2012’ score completed
June, 2009: Marcus composes and orchestrates additional music for the upcoming blockbuster 2012, directed by Roland Emmerich. Once again Marcus is working with Harald Kloser to make this vision of the Mayan Prophecies as musically exciting as possible.
‘Repo Men’ score completed
March, 2009: Marcus finishes work on Repo Men, starring Jude Law and
Forest Whitaker. This movie is based on the sinister novel 'The
Repossession Mambo' by Eric Garcia. Release date is set to summer 2010.
‘Knowing’ score completed
January, 2009: Marcus finishes composing
on Knowing, starring Nicholas
Cage and Rose Byrne. This very dark film
about the end of the world was directed by Alex Proyas and opens in
theaters on March 20, 2009. To learn more

‘Mesrine’ nominated for Best Score at 2009 CESAR Awards
January, 2009: Marcus Trumpp and Marco Beltrami's Score for the Mesrine movies is nominated for Best Music Score at the 2009 César Awards. The Awards Ceremony takes place February 27th in Paris, France. For more information check out the Official César Awards website.
‘Max Payne’ completed
September, 2008: Marcus finishes
orchestrating on Max Payne,
starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. This computer
game adaptation was directed by John Moore and will be released in
October of 2008.
‘Mesrine’ score completed
August, 2008: Marcus returns from Paris, France, where he recorded the score for Mesrine: L'instinct de mort (Instinct of Death) and Mesrine: L'ennemi public n° 1 (Public Enemy No. 1), two movies about notorious French gangster Jacques Mesrine. The movies are scheduled to be released in Europe this Fall and will have a limited release in the US later on. For a preview, check out the official website.
‘Forecast’ screens at 2008 Comic-Con
July, 2008: Marcus attends the Independent Film Festival at the 2008 International Comic Convention in San Diego, and participates in the Q&A panel for Forecast.
World Premiere of 'Elegy for 12 Horns'
May, 2008: Marcus' original composition 'Elegy for 12 Horns' is performed at the Popper Auditorium by the Horn Ensemble of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Bill Boston conducted and Brian O'Connor, one of Hollywood's top horn players, organized the concert and contributed to a great performance.
‘Live Free or Die Hard’ score receives ASCAP award
May, 2008: Marcus attends the 23rd Annual Film and Television Music Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills. Live Free or Die Hard for which Marcus composed additional music, is one of the winners.
‘10,000 B.C.’ in theaters
March, 2008: Marcus attends the Los Angeles premiere of 10,000 B.C., which opens in theaters worldwide. For more info on this prehistoric journey go to its official website.
‘Amusement’ completed
February, 2008: Marcus finishes composing for the New Line Cinema project Amusement. The movie stars Jessica Lucas and Katheryn Winnick and is scheduled to be released this fall.
‘The Eye’ in theaters

‘3:10 to Yuma’ score nominated for Oscar
January, 2008: Marco Beltrami’s 3:10 to Yuma score is nominated for an Academy award for best score.
‘Forecast’ wins Grand Prize at Seattle Sci-Fi Festival
January, 2008: Eric Courtney comes home with the Grand Prize from the Sci-Fi film festival in Seattle for Forecast.
‘The Eye’
November, 2007: Marcus starts work on the Cruise/Wagner production The Eye, starring Jessica Alba. The project is a remake of the Japanese horror movie Gin gwai from 2002.
‘ 10,000 B.C.’ completed
October, 2007: Marcus finishes additional composition work on 10,000 B.C. Roland Emmerich, the director of Stargate and Independence Day, teamed up with Harald Kloser to write and produce this epic adventure. The score is recorded in London.
‘3:10 to Yuma’ in theaters
September, 2007: 3:10 to Yuma opens as a limited release in the US. Check out the website.
‘3:10 to Yuma’ completed
August, 2007: Marcus finishes orchestration work on Marco Beltrami’s score for 3:10 to Yuma, starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. The score is a wonderful homage to Ennio Morricone’s Spaghetti Western music.
'Blood: The Last Vampire'
August, 2007: Marcus is scheduled to score the movie Blood: The Last Vampire, starring Gianna Jun and Allison Miller. Chris Nahon is the director and producer is Bill Kong (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, and House of Flying Daggers).
'Live Free or Die Hard' completed
July, 2007: Live free or Die Hard is now in theaters. The movie features additional music by Marcus. Varese Sarabande will release the soundtrack. For more info on the movie go to its official website.
'The Breed' out on DVD
May, 2007: The Breed has been released in the US on DVD.
'The Invisible' in theaters
April, 2007: Almost one year after recording the score, the movie hits American theaters, featuring additional score by Marcus. Sadly there won't be a soundtrack release, but please stop by the 'Music' section for some samples.
Marcus scores 'Forecast'
February, 2007: The new time travel short by Eric Courtney is entering its post phase. In the 'Music' section you will find some score samples.
'Omen 666' in theaters
July, 2006: The Omen 666 opens in theaters and Marco's awesome score is now available from Varese Sarabande.
'The Breed' out in theaters
June, 2006: The Breed hits theaters in Europe.
'Hollow Man 2' released
